97mm 76a evolve street wheels
Been riding these wheels for 10 months now. Ride alot and cover alot of kms. I like to curve and slide. The wheels started getting big chunks come out from the the wheel. I told evolve and they sent me a new wheel. First skate with he new wheel and it happened again. I told evolve again and they said these items are consumable items and can't put a warranty claim in. I feel they will start to crumble even more the more I skate them. Now I have all four wheels crumbling. Not good

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us.
The 97mm Street Wheels are designed for smooth street surfaces and they are indeed a consumable item. There are so many variables to consider when discussing a replacement on a chipped street wheel which is why we generally goodwill this particular claim, rather than place it under warranty. Variables include: What was the terrain like? How fast were they travelling? Was there any aggressive riding? There could be a number of reasons as to why yours would have chipped and I see here that we did provide you with a replacement wheel out of goodwill.
If the replacement chipped straight away, then perhaps it might be a good idea to look into something different. For repetitive sliding, we highly recommend a hard compound street wheel! In our range, it’s the Purple 85mm Orangatang Caguama (compound is 83A as opposed to 76A in the 97mm Evolve wheel). The harder the compound, the stronger the wheel will be and it sounds like you could benefit from this!
When riding, be wary of glass and debris as this is the main street wheel killer!
I hope this has helped you out. If you have any follow up questions, please feel free to ask us.
